1. Open your invited app and create your account
Use the installation instructions in your RingRaised beta invitation. Open the app and choose New to the app? Create account. Use an adult email you can check now and a password. If prompted, open the confirmation email, confirm your account, then return to the app and sign in. If you already have an account, sign in with it. A beta-interest request and the public demo do not create an account.
2. Create or join your family
In the app, enter your family name and choose Create family. If another adult has already started your family, choose Join an existing family and use their private invitation code. Join that existing workspace so everyone uses the same records. You do not need to enable Advisor or Breeder access to use RingRaised as a family.
3. Open the family setup guide
On the website, sign in with the same account and open Dashboard > Getting started, or Help > Family setup guide. In an app build that includes the guide, tap Open family setup guide in Your barn or find it under Help. It opens when you choose it; creating a family does not automatically launch it. If your installed app does not have the guide yet, use the website and install the latest invited build when it is available.
4. Choose your family show year
A family parent chooses Set family show year, selects a year such as 2026–27, reviews and saves. If animals already exist, review the choices for each one before saving. Return using Continue family setup on the website or Continue setup on the phone. The first step checks your saved show year. Website report units and other defaults are under Account & preferences.
5. Add an exhibitor
Choose Add an exhibitor in the guide. An exhibitor is the person raising and showing the animal. Fill in the required fields, save, then continue setup. On the website, first name and your two-letter family state are required; the other exhibitor details are optional. A child’s exhibitor profile does not require a separate login. A family parent adds or edits these profiles. Review existing profiles before adding the same person again.
Waiting for your animals? Pause here.
You can choose your show year and add exhibitors before animals are assigned or arrive. Two of four steps complete is expected at this stage. Choose Do this later, then return through Help > Family setup guide when you are ready. There is no need to add a placeholder animal or invent a weight to finish the checklist. Saved progress follows your family records; hiding the guide applies to that browser or device.
6. Add an animal and assign its exhibitor
When the animal is ready to enter, choose Add your first animal in the guide. On the website you can also use Manage profiles > Add animal; on the phone use Animals & exhibitors. Enter its name and animal type, choose Market or Breeding, select its show year and exhibitor, and save. Leave an ongoing project Active. Breeding projects also require a birth date, registered name and registration number. Continue setup after saving. Existing animals should be reviewed before you create a duplicate.
7. Save something that actually happened
Use the guide to record a measured weight or care activity you actually completed. On the website, open the animal’s records and choose Weights > Record weight or Care & activity > Record activity. Enter the correct date, unit or minutes, and description where needed; review and save. SAE project work is a separate choice. Continue setup to check progress. Test, replaced and phone records still waiting to sync do not complete this step.
8. Check the same project on your other device
Use the same account on the app and website, refresh, and open the same animal. Both should recognize the saved record and setup progress. If a phone save is waiting to sync, reconnect and check Sync Center before entering it again. A record saved in the public demo stays in the demo. After setup, reminders, reports and connections are optional next steps; Help can reopen the guide anytime.
When you complete a reminder
Open that reminder’s Record care or activity link and choose the appropriate form. For exercise, Save activity & complete reminder records the work and closes that selected task. A standalone activity does not choose a reminder to close. Real weights and health records can complete applicable reminders automatically.
Add connections whenever you are ready
Advisors and breeders are optional. Use Connections & account roles to review invitations and choose the animals and categories to share. You can keep recording your family’s work before making any connection.
If a step does not look right
Check the email shown on the website, the selected family and the show-year filter. If you just created or joined a family in the app, choose Refresh my workspaces on the website. If a save is uncertain, retry its saved request before entering a replacement. Contact support@ringraised.com with the screen name, what you clicked and the exact error; never send your password or invitation code.
